This is a great 3 hour workshop for Teens who have a busy schedule but always wanted to give sewing a try!
Students will learn the fundamentals in operating a sewing machine as well some basic sewing principles by making a pillow.
Once you have completed this workshop, you will have the basic knowledge in using a sewing machine, some dos and don’ts, and the inspiration to keep sewing!

This program focuses on sewing fashion apparel. Each level is designed to give students the opportunity to practice different sewing techniques related to all types of garments. Once started, students can continue to pursue this aspect of fashion construction, or start their training in Fashion Design!
This introductory course is a good start for any teen that is a fashionista at heart, is curious about what it takes to start a fashion design career and has never sewn before! You will finish the course educated in all the fundamental sewing techniques to start making your own clothing.
Once completed, students can choose to further their skills through Just Sew.
In this course, students will learn how to:
– Operate the sewing machine
– Take proper measurements and learn how to size accordingly
– Use commercial patterns
– Learn the varying characteristics of different fabrics
– Construct a garment (skirt or pants of your choice) from “cut” to finish
*Students will have the opportunity to purchase patterns from the studio*
